The reason some business fail is not just because the entrepreneurs lack passion. It’s because all they think about is making profit.

Yes, we need money to acquire material things, but that’s not just the only reason you must have when setting up a business. There must be a deeper meaning into why you are in a certain industry. Like what Derek Sivers said, “Business is not about money. It’s about making dreams come true for others and for yourself.”

Failing Is Refusing To Get Up

When we try to achieve something we face some challenges and would often stumble. Sometimes, we would encounter so many difficulties that it would feel like they are impossible to go through. And there are times when we fall from these difficulties.

During these times, we would often feel like all is lost and that we have failed. But truth is failure is a choice. Just like what the quote above says, “Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.”

The moment we choose not to get back up, that’s when we truly fail. As long as we keep fighting and as long as we try to achieve our goals, we never truly fail. It is our choice if we will let a few setbacks stop us or if we will get back up and continue to reach for our goals.

How do we get answers? We ask questions. How do we achieve our goals? We do something to make them happen.

For every result we want to get, we must take appropriate action. Just like when we need to know something, we research or we ask. We mustn’t be afraid of asking or finding better ways to deal with something. We should be encouraged to do those, for that’s when we learn. But the questions we ask must be relevant so that the answers will be valuable. Anthony Robbins said, “Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.”

The Distance Between Dreams And Reality Is Action

Image from Wisdom Quotes

Image from Wisdom Quotes

We all have dreams; some can be easily achieved, while some would take years to happen. But all of these dreams require one thing to become reality, action.

Some want their dreams to become reality right away. They want to skip the action part and just get into enjoying their reality. But there are no shortcuts in life.

Making your dreams into reality may seem tough at times, but the results are always worth it. All you need to do is step up and take action. Just like what the quote above said, “The distance between your dreams and reality is called action.” It is really quite simple if you think about it. Your dream will remain a dream if you don’t do anything about it. But once you start doing something to reach your dreams, you begin to live it. These dreams become part of your reality.

Whatever business you may have, it’s all about the people. Simon Sinek agrees and even said, “If you don’t understand people, you don’t understand business.”

Businesses revolve around people; their needs, their pains, and even their aspirations. Once you understand what your customers need and how you can give it to them, that’s how you will be able to make your business grow.

Overthinking Leads To Negative Thoughts

Preparing for what’s yet to come and having contingency plans are great to practice. But it shouldn’t rule us. This means, we shouldn’t let planning and overthinking take over our time.

It’s not just the time taken away from us, but also the opportunity of being able to do more and accomplish more. And more often than not, overthinking also leads to negative thoughts. We become paranoid of all the “what if’s” and scenarios we play in our heads. These negative thoughts won’t do anyone any good because they will only invite negative things.

“Buy now! Get it today!”—These are some of the things we used to hear on marketing and advertising spills. But nowadays, it’s not all about how good what you are saying and where you are saying it. It’s about the relationship you have with your customers.

Marketing has evolved and is no longer what it used to be. According to Ben Grossman, “New marketing is about the relationships, not the medium.” For a marketing strategy to succeed, you don’t need to produce fancy presentations on various mediums. You need to connect and engage with your customers instead.
