Marketing Insight Wednesday: Facebook Traffic is Highest Midweek Between 1-3PM

Here’s a little something you might want to take into mind when you’re marketing in Facebook, folks:

So, roughly, by this time, I guess office staff are checking their Facebook after lunchtime – or something to that sense. In any case, another takeaway from this little graphic is the fact that we need to monitor our target audience’s Facebook activity.

This is so that you can find out when to post when getting the maximum potential reach of your audience. To do this, you need to do a little experimenting!

And this is where the fun begins. I started off posting from 8AM. Turned out, it’s worked for me. But after awhile, I wanted to see if I can improve that, so I started with 9AM. And so on and so forth.

So far though, posting after lunch is pretty awesome.

So do some experimenting on your own and find out when most of your target audience is online on Facebook.

Core Values of a Digital Influencer: AUTHENTICITY

On November 24, 2012, I spoke in the Digital Influencers Marketing Summit in Cebu. It was a riveting experience to meet people from all over the Philippines and share with them what it’s like being transformed into an influencer. One thing I may have missed sharing with them is one core value every influencer should have.

You ever wonder how some people are able to rally an audience behind their cause or advocacy even though they’re not really good speakers or assume some celebrity status? It could be a rare instance, but it DOES happen. Ever wondered about how some people are generally more trusted on the spot even if it’s the first time an audience meets them?

Well, folks, it’s got everything to do with being AUTHENTIC!

In this video, I’ll show you one of the core values that literally get people to follow you without any effort at all.

What do you think, folks? Let me know in the comments section below!

[VIDEO] Why Businesses should still have a Website and not just rely on Facebook

I ran this little challenge in Facebook where I asked you folks why you DON’T need a website to have a successful Internet business. Many gave some valid points, and most of the answers were related to the fact that they can already make use of Facebook and that it’s free.

Allow me to discuss in this video “Why Businesses should still have a Website and not just rely on Facebook”.

Make It Happen Mondays: Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do

Dreams can do a lot of things for you.

They can keep you cheery on a boring day. They can be your motivation to work harder in school, at work and even at home. It goes without saying that, while dreams can literally be your daily dose of “Go” juice, they won’t work fully unless you’re working on them. Unless you have a specific dream with a timed deadline and are working on action plans toward that dream it will remain just that – nothing but a dream.

Marketing Insight Wednesday: Companies That Blog Have 55% More Website Visitors

So why is this the case?

Simple, really.

People want to associate themselves with a brand that’s human enough to take care of their needs. Sure, a website with all that look and feel will look good. But beyond the surface lies nothing else but the intention to take whatever money’s left in their target audience’s wallet.

Here are three other compelling reasons why a blog does better than a conventional website.

1. Blogs generally have a non-selling environment going on. People like to buy things but they HATE being sold to. So yeah, blogs are totally human-friendly AND wallet-friendly.

2. Blogs get indexed by Google more AND they rank faster than ordinary websites too. Yeap, Goooglez love blogs.

3. Blogs provide the value people need through answers and solutions. So whether your target audience is in shopping mode or not, they’re bound to visit it sooner or later.

So now that you know what a blog can do for your business, what are you going to do now? Let me know in the comments section below.

3 Essential Steps To Be An Online Influencer

Last Saturday, October 29, 2012, I attended the Digital Influencer Marketing Summit at the SMX Convention Center. This was my first time to join a local Internet Marketing related event so I was quite excited to hear what the local experts and practitioners have to share about the topic.

I must say that more than the learnings and new ideas that I got from the summit, my biggest take away was the renewed “Inspiration” to connect with like minded people and local practitioners. And in supporting each other’s Advocacies, we practice becoming “Digital Influencers” in our own fields.

This short video was inspired by my realizations from this event. I hope it will help you to be an Online Influencer and create positive results for your Advocacy.

Congratulations to Janette Toral and the whole Digital Filipino Community for MAKING IT HAPPEN!

Marketing Insight Wednesday: 61% of Internet Users Research Products Online

online product research
Back in the day, travelers ask random people where the nearest marketplace is to get goods. As centuries passed, people eventually find new ways of getting their business known and finding the right business to suit their needs – from wooden signages to newspaper ads.

These days, however, more and more people are going online to get what they need – from hi-tech gadgets to food products.
It’s no wonder this generation’s known as the Google generation – lots and lots of people find their stuff from Google and other online places.

Just for Fun Fridays: Having a Blog Content Plan

Blog Content Plan

Whenever you’re using a blog to market your business, it’s always recommended to have a content plan so you can update your audience as consistently as possible. While it’s true that ideas for a blog post can come from anywhere, a content plan gives you a direction with the content you want to present to your audience.
