Stop Selling, Start Helping

It’s not about selling, people don’t like being sold things, but they do love to buy especially when the product is valuable to them.

As online entrepreneurs, we must not look for landing the next sale. We should find out how much or how else could we help our clients.

When you start taking care of the needs of others, that’s when you make the most connection. People know when we are being true to them or just sugarcoating things. They can sense if we genuinely want to help them. It’s not being about being the best salesman that gets a customer’s to trust you; it’s walking that extra mile to make sure you cater to their needs.

It’s just like what Zig Ziglar said, “Stop selling. Start helping.” Helping others is the best way to build relationships. And when you build relationships, you expand your connection; hence, you also pave way to having more clients.

Don’t look for ways to sell, look for ways to help people. Reach out to them and be helpful. Be the first person they turn to when they need something. Don’t think about sales figures; look at how much you are helping, for that’s what being an entrepreneur is.
