In the past few posts, I’ve taught you how to register a domain name with GoDaddy. Now, here’s a little back story why I chose this awesome domain registry service over the others:
When I started online, everyone told me to go to GoDaddy and start purchasing domain names. From then on, I never bought from another registrar since then. Nuff said.
Short story, but it’s pretty much a lot like going through the entire domain registry process in GoDaddy. Here’s three reasons why you should do what I did back in the day:
Simple and Fast
If you’ll look through the process that I’ve shared with you, you’ll realize that it’ll take you less than a few minutes to own a domain name. Personally, I hold a record of 15 seconds – course, I did the keyword research prior to my purchasing. *wink*wink*
If you’ll compare GoDaddy’s purchasing process to others, you’ll notice that the directions are user-friendly and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to get a domain for you. It’s efficient and simple, something that other domain registries don’t offer.
Reasonably Low Cost
Do you know that you can purchase your “.com” domain names together win a “.info” domain names for little more than $12.00? It may sound unbelievable, but I feel that GoDaddy’s low prices are fit for any Internet businessman on a shoestring budget – especially if they want to take their marketing to the next level with the creation of blog networks and such.
Other than that, you can also cut your costs from the measly $12.00 to as low as $9.00 with GoDaddy’s discount codes. Some can be found right off the World Wide Web – from forums to discount coupon websites.
Superb Customer Support
GoDaddy’s technical support system offers 3 types:
1. Phone support
2. Email support
3. Forum support
These three things, plus the fact that they’re up and running, 24/7 makes GoDaddy a worthy ally for your Internet empire building – But in any case you’re not THAT convinced that GoDaddy is the go-to place for your domain registry needs, here are three more facts that could seal the deal:
1. GoDaddy manages more than 53 million domains to date AND counting (primarily because websites are born everyday). Quick fact: This is significantly more than any other domain registrar can handle in the web right now.
2. GoDaddy has over 10 million customers right now. If 10 million customers are HAPPY for and with GoDaddy, chances are you will be too.
3. Lastly, GoDaddy handles more than 1 domain registrations every second, every day. That’s sort of a sign that GoDaddy is reliable and efficient – think of it as the 800-pound gorilla of domain registry. It’s big, it’s strong and you can’t really put it down THAT easily.

GoDaddy is my main domain registrar and I love using it. I also tried namecheap and it's good as well. Anyway, I haven't tried web hosting but will do in the near future (before 2014 ends).
