Everyone’s on social media these days, whether it be in Facebook or Twitter. Of course there are other social media platforms as well, but these two are some of the most popular.
The number of users in social media sites just keeps growing too. And these users have different ways of social networking. They all have different purpose and behaviors.
The way to define this is by what they post online. It is the way they contribute in the online community. Think about your friends, how will you group them? Do you have a friend who posts movie or tv spoilers? Do you know people who seem to have an opinion about every political issue? Or is your friend often posts vague status that would make you think who he/she is talking about?
Well, in a social behavior study by MyLife, there are different types of personas and chances are, you fit in one of them. The study was conducted among 890 adults ages 18 and older.
The infographic below shows interesting findings on social network users. One of these is, “if you’re a young parent, 88% of the time, you post pictures of your kids or talk about parenting at least once a month.”
The study also shows some findings about searching behaviors on social media sites. According to the survey, “nearly 25% of men under the age of 35 admit to looking at a former girlfriend’s social media profile page once a month. Meanwhile, women do it less often (20%).”
