Asking what your customers want is a great way to know which products to offer them. But you shouldn’t just rely on that. You need to research on what they would possibly need in the future.
Asking is a good way to get the right answers. But thorough research will also point you to the right direction. As entrepreneurs, we cater to the needs of our clients. In order to find these out, we must look beyond and investigate on what else we can offer them. We need to go beyond what customers ask of us. Steve Jobs said, “You can’t just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built they’ll want something new.”
What Steve Jobs is trying to say is we need to offer our customers something they haven’t realized they need. People change their mind a lot. In order to offer something they would want, we need to look ahead and see what else they might need in the future. It is going the extra mile and being more thoughtful of their needs. This way, you give them a valuable product.
Successful entrepreneurs don’t settle for what they just need now. They look ahead and find what else they might be able to offer their customers. It is about creating a thoughtful and valuable solution that makes the difference in the lives of people. It is what sticks with them. Impose the value ofn your product by creating something that has been well thought of inside and out, in every aspect, and in every detail.
