In any industry, there will always be competition. So naturally, entrepreneurs tend to strive hard to stand out by creating a unique brand. But branding is more than just being better than the rest.

John Morgan said in his book Brand Against the Machine, “Branding is not just about being seen as better than the competition. It’s about being seen as the only solution to your audience’s problem.” When customers need something, you are the first one on their mind—that is branding. Another success in branding is when the brand becomes synonymous to the product.

It’s not about being popular, but becoming so good that you are the only solution your customer wants and needs. It is becoming so good at what you do that your customers won’t think of anyone else but your brand. Other brands will no longer matter.

Create a strong branding by providing the best solution for your customers. Provide the value of brand. Be the very best that they would ignore everyone else. Set high standards that people will only accept those standards. Become the only solution to your customers’ problem.
