Marketing online is a lot like telling a story. Each story consists of a hero, some obstacles, and an ending. Most audience prefers a happy ending of course. But when it comes to choosing the hero of this type of story, it should be the customer
Ann Handley said, “Make the customer the hero of your story.” The customer should be the hero facing the obstacles and would remain victorious in the end. How do you that? Simply by providing them with information or tools they need. Once you equip them, they would be able to conquer any challenge that comes their way.
Entrepreneurs and marketers shouldn’t just focus on the sales. They must focus on the customers. They need to find out what the obstacles they are facing and how they can be of help.
In order to have a happy ending, entrepreneurs must offer what their customers would need. To do that, we must listen to them and empathize with them. Get to know them more in order to help them succeed in their challenges.
