Capturing your audience’s attention can be a challenge at times, but keeping them interested in what you are saying is more difficult. A person’s attention span is getting shorter each year due to the mass of information available to us nowadays. Before, we need to read through piles of books and articles at the library to get some research done. Now, we can get the information with just a click of a button.

It’s best to take note of your audience’s attention span whenever you are about to post content on your blog or social media sites. Tim Frick said, “In this age of microblogging and two-second sound bites, almost no one has the attention span, or time, to read more than a few sentences.”

The goal of content is to inform and to that, you need to grab and keep your readers’ attention. Write a captivating title and follow it up with a meaty copy. Don’t just capture their attention on the first line but make sure they are glued in until the end. Also, keep the copy concise. This doesn’t mean it has to be short, but each sentence is relevant and would contribute to the whole thought of the article.

Think of your audience before posting content. Make sure it applies to what they need. Keep it concise and keep it meaty.
