Even if we are connecting digitally, people can sense if you are being untrue. Once they found out you are just giving them lies, you will lose their trust.
It’s not always about what else you can give the customers and readers, but how true is your message. The way we talk to them and what we tell them truly matter. These can make or break our power to influence our followers. Rick Levine says, “Authenticity, honesty, and personal voice underlie much of what’s successful on the Web.”
People will start patronizing you because of what you offer, whether in products and in services. But the moment they sense or find out that you are dishonest to them, they will easily go and leave you behind. It’s important to be authentic and honest. It is also important to care for your customers’ needs. Listen to their pains and provide viable solutions. When you start helping them and forget about selling, that’s when you win them.
To be successful online, you must remain authentic, honest, and caring to your followers. You can’t fool your readers. Remember to be authentic and honest and your customers will remain loyal.
